Thanks Jerry, I didn't know that regulation about needing swivels in SD. Like you said, I'm going to have to find some good literature about snaring and trapping in SD before I start out down there. You get any more bobcats Jerry? I saw a picture of your first on here somewhere. They sure are pretty animals...someday I hope to be able to live west-river SD just to have the chance to run across one!

really glad to see your desire to get into the sport!!!!!!!! You need to get some snareing videos and/or instruction to get you up to speed. Snaring is not hard to do but...............you need to get a good foundation in the basics. there is a video in the trapping section on putting snares together.
