Here's a picture of my 3rd coon this year, which just so happened to be on my 21st birthday! What a treat!

Thanks guys, and no, not recovering - nothing to recover from! I only had a couple cold ones last night and then it was off to bed for me. Working at 5:30 a.m. doesn't let me stay up too late and I'm saving money for a couple traps and gun supplies instead of blowing it all on booze. 8) I've got a friend with a bunch of dogs that we're working on training them all on a coon or two. Pretty nice deal, we get the dogs on a coon and I get good trapping practice.

One more for the books:

This one had some foot damage so I put it down; I didn't want it hurting itself more on the way out to my friend's house. First one I've caught in the DP trap that had some foot damage. I was running a cable extension on the trap, think that might have had anything to do with it? Anyone else ever run these square dp coon traps?

A friend called me up last weekend asking what I knew about beaver trapping. He said there were a couple of dams blocking a trail through his pasture so he'd like some beaver taken off the scene. I know little about trapping them, but I figured I'd give it a shot anyway. I set out two traps Saturday night, and by Sunday morning this is what I found in my trap. My first beaver!

I was also curious about how the coons are coming along back home, so I made a couple sets for them and found a decent sized female Sunday morning too!
