Well 5 more sleeps :D

Just a quick reminder, since people have been asking me via phone lately, the rules meeting will be in the morning at 5am sharp. Another question i am being asked quite often is how many teams will there be; and i can not honestly say how many there will be exactly, but if i were to guess, i would say 15-20 teams, but i hope there are more teams that show up than that. This is a great location and hunt, to start the tournament season off with. October is a great month to call coyotes. A lot of young of the year dogs to shoot and a lot of bullshitting and fun after the hunt :D .

The lodge is straight north out of town a few miles and just south of the air force base. I am leaving here at 2:30 for the hunt. I hope everyone makes it. It sounds like we have 11 teams signed up for sure and there are always a few that just pay when they show up. The rules meeting is at 5am sharp. If anyone has any problems on the way to the lodge and can not make it for some reason, please feel free to call me on my cell phone - 320-492-8953. It should be a fun hunt and a lot of fun after the hunt :D

Well our day sucked really bad!!! The wind was blowing 20-25 and gusty, we made 17 stands, 15 good ones, 2 stands other hunters (bird hunters) came through our area so it was busted. But no excuses we didn't come through with it on saturday!!

We seen two all day, the first stand we had one work our way and lay down half way there. We repositioned to get a shot @ 350-400 and he was goon between the two of us watching him lay there he got up and got out without a trace  The last stand at about 6:00 we had one working a draw at 350-400 and he never heard us. we tried to Ki-yi and he couldn't hear that??? we repositiooned to get a shot and he slipped over a hill on posted stuff and never came back over :x

All in all it was a humbiling day of hunting... We decided at 6:00 after being dupped that we didn't have the energy to make the treck back to minot for the weigh in, sorry guys... We had a couple other things that made up our minds to head back to bismarck, long story....

Any way thanks for putting the event together, to all of you that helped and were there. Glad we hunted it, next time maybe we will not suck so bad???
Can't wait fopr the next event, don't think your getting rid of me/we thaty easy :)
