Valley City tournament

It sounds like Valley City will be holding there annual coyote hunting tournament on the 26th of january. Although i have no flyer to post, I bielieve that the check in will be at the Hill Top Cafe between 6am and 8am and the checkin for the evening will be at the Eagles at 6pm. I will post more information if i come across some.

Valley City Tournament 1-3 man teams Jan. 26th
Registration at Hilltop Cafe from 6:00 to 8:00 a.m.
Check-in time is 6:30 p.m. at Eagles club
Entry Fee is 20.00 per hunter

Not positve but I believe blocks will be used and temp. checked

I didn't make it to the tournament, but I will find out and post results later if nobody else knows.

The tourny went good 11 coyotes took first i believe second was 5, third and forth tied with 4, and 5th-7th tied with 3. About 20 teams, largest dog was 38.5 #'s

38 coyotes and 4 fox

A team shot 11 coyotes in one day! Good god!

My thoughts exactly, I'll really thought we were in contention with three. We had a tough day of calling with the wind and warm temps.

I know a lot of teams chase them down with trucks! We did that tournament 3 years ago and it was crazy all the trucks in the middle of fields. Congrats on staying in contention and doing it while calling, you were one of few in that tournament

Thanks for the info Levi. I like to know which tournaments to NOT consider due to idiots in trucks.

Way to go TonyF. Im almost 100% positive that you were one of the elite few that actually called there coyotes in. My hats off to you to contend with lazy a$$e$.

Anyone know if they are having the tournament this year? and if they are is it this coming up weekend? Any info would be appreciated

There was actually only 22 coyotes brought in to the check in point and the biggest weighed 33.5 pounds. No fox were brought in and the winning team shot 6 coyotes also 5 through 7th place had two or less coyotes

The snow at the Valley tournement was a huge pain in my ass, we had snow shoes and it was still a battle getting anywhere. I think that it was a pretty good tournement overall (Better this year than years past as i have been told) it looked like all the coyotes where harvested legit.
