Remember that coyote! coyotehunter tryed to leave it for me I think I got rid of it for him I do recall that mangy yotes also have a fever which will make the temp on them be diff. the mange is bad but I think the smell is them rotting from the inside out from infection

If I remember right if temp them right after you shoot them they will be have a higher temp due to the mange, but if shot early in the day and temp later, the coyote will loose its temp faster due to the lack of fur, and other health issues

my experience is that the mange coyotes will cool down faster. temps on them are typically lower.
