Kevin do you have the results. I hear rumor here and there but I wasn't there so I can't say for sure. Sounded like alot of coyotes were killed.

That's all a guy can do!! 59 coyotes for 31 teams in one day is something you wont see very often.

Thats too bad that there was cheating!!! I just don't understand why?

I only met Ted the one time and he was a real nice guy, that was cool of him to make things right, even though he didn't have too

It all depends on when the coyote was shot versus the temp outside!! Someone correct me if im wrong but if you temp a mangy coyote right away and one that is fully furred that the mangy one will actualy have a higher temp than the average coyote due to the fact that it is pretty much running a fever. 53 degreees seems pretty low to me. Its one of those things that a guy would have to be there to see it first hand before he can make too many assumptions!!

I agree lyonch! It will be higher right away due to fever but with the lack of fur to keep heat in and if it was shot early it would be tough to say it could have cooled off that much. I shot a mangy one once to that was thrown out because of temp. He was shot early, had a good size hole in him and carried on a hitch rack. I think that one was in the low 60's upper 50's for temp. Thats a good question Turk when you think about it :?

i hope jamie puts his insight in on this one!! He has temp checked more coyotes than most of us combined on the site and if i recall right records all of it!! His experience on temp checks for mangy coyotes will really throw some helpful insight on what he has saw in the past.

I don't think you can by temps with mangy coyotes. I think every mangy coyote will be different due to the severity of the mange. Some coyotes have no hair on them at all. I don't know tought to say!! Jamie whats your thoughts on mangy coyotes??
