The main thing is to calibrate the scales each time you use them... While i'm reloading i will sometimes double check a thrown charge on the other scale..I also took a magic marker and wrote down the weight of the powder pan you will see that on the rcbs scale. Each time i lift up pan to dump out charge of powder the scale will read neg. weight of the empty pan like 183.5 if it does then i know the scale is still on...sometimes i will get a small draft or maybe a gremmilen and the rcbs scale will be off .1 gr. which is nothing to be concerned with, but if it continues to be off .1 then i just hit the rezero button and its back to normal.. The main thing is read the directions that comes with each scale and there should'nt be any problems and just like any other peice of equipement someone may get a bad one, no big deal just send it in and get fixed...
I have'nt used a beam scale in over five years, mine at the moument lays in my junk box.. :mrgreen:
