I have been using a Carlson extra full extended tube with 3.5" #2 Hevi-shot. I have patterned several different load and choke combinations but have been most impressed with what I am using now.

I use the same as lyonch. I am really intrested in the dead coyote choke tube and shot. Its real expensive but from what I have seen it patterns great up to 70 yards!!

I have patterend mine out to 80 yards and I think out to 75 yds would be max for a head shot. I have some dead coyote in T and F but I have had such good results with the #2 Hevi that I do not think the coyote could get anymore dead with a bigger shot. :P

I use the carlson dead coyote choke tube and dead coyote hevi shot and have tested mine out to 70 yards and out of 54 bb's I have had 20-25 left on the paper. I have been very happy with the results but it is spendy at 25.00 a box of 10.

When I pattern I use a 8" with a 2" band drawn 1' above the top of the circle. Daryl what size of target are you useing tp get that many pellets on target? What size load of dead coyote are you useing?

Jamie-

what is the price for #2 Hevi-shot. If I remember right it fairly spendy! Like Daryl noted, $25 for 10 bullets in dead coyote is expensive!!

Pattern Master choke and Steel T-shot in a 10 gauge so far i have been real pleased. I would like to do some work with the dead coyote choke and shells though

yep, about $25 a box but it is not like shooting geese, they will last and you will be kicking youself if you saved a buck but lost a coyote because of useing something that is not up to the task. Trust me I have done it, just ask Brad T.

I am using Dead Coyote "T" shot Jamie and I guess the target is about the same as you I call them a 10" target. It's been a good set up for me and I am using a cheap gun it's a Benelli Nova. :D

I carried a Bennilli Nova for a couple of years and I thought it was a great gun. I did end up buying the SBEII and it is awesome with the extended tube.

I own a 10 guage but if was going to buy a shotgun specifically for coyote hunting it would be a 3 1/2 inch semi auto 12 guage mainly becasue of the weight on your shoulders but at the same time i don't notice my ten guage on my shoulder all that much

Thats what I was thinking about investing in A 3 1/2" semi auto 12guage. I like the 3 1/2" for the more pellets!! Everyone knows I need as many pellets as I can get!
