RELOADING ANY AMMO

Post by Tango »

ON ANOTHER SITE "FISHINGBUDDY.COM THERE IS A MEMBER THERE THAT SAID THAT IF SOMEONE WOULD RELOAD AMMO WITHOUT A FFL & SELL THEM TO ME IT WOULD BE ILLEGAL. HAS ANYONE EVER HEARD THAT BEFORE. HOW CAN ONE FIND OUT WITHOUT HAVING A BULLSEYE PUT ON YA OVER THIS.

I would think you could find that on some state funded site. Not sure about that. I have reloaded for my dad, can't imagine that is an issue.

If you buy the bullets and powder and so on and have someone reload for you then its legal. Its when someone reloads ammo and then sells it you can run into problems, proper lic. and insurance wouldbe needed..

I believe it is an issue of having an FFL- being a manufacturer of ammunition.
Check FFL applications and regulations.
BATFE web site will have it, I am sure.
