Predator Hunting Magazines

Post by Roane Ranger »

Well, couldn't find a topic that covered this subject already, so I thought I would put this here. :?

I read what I can find of value (about Predator Hunting!) here and there and when I have the time, and have come to the conclusion that I like the Predator Xtreme magazine very well. :)
They seem to present a lot of good articles every issue.

As a whole magazine, I have compared it only to the Varmint Hunter . :(
I picked up several recent but NOS issues of it at a gunshow to review- as far as I know, it is the only other magazine dedicated to the subject.
I wasn't impressed with the content.
Years ago, I took the Trapper and Predator Caller magazine, but didn't like it. :(
I am not a trapper (more power to those of you who do!), and there was too much about that subject in it, and not enough about calling or hunting the predators (maybe it has changed since, I don't know.)
Anyway, it is not a dedicated subject (close, but not all the way)- same with Fur, Fish, and Game. :|

There have been good articles in various magazines, but not regular enough to warrant my subscription.
Predator Xtreme might get a new subscriber, if they keep it up through out this trial period. 8)

Speaking of which- I got a free years subscription to Predator Xtreme from AllPredatorCalls.com by entering for a chance to win one. THANKS to them- it is very much appreciated. :D
