I have called with the wind to my back on numerous occasions. I hunt in northeast missouri, we have corn fields and bean fields everywhere and it is flat as a pancake. Here it is smart to have somebody facing the leeward side because they can downwind you from 300 yards away and if nobody is facing that way, you wouldnt even know they were there. Of couse hunting with the wind in your face and the sun at your back is the preferred method, but sometimes you have to adapt and overcome.

Show em no mercy!
