I don't think it is made by Leupold.

I know you're going to scold me but i'm not a fan of Leupolds eye relief.

I bought a Leupold VariX 3 4.5-14x50 with the varmint hunters reticle and am really happy with it so far. I put it on my DPMS zeroed at 200 and the 300 mark was money(haven't shot it at 400 yet). Crystal clear glass and super fine reticle. Only thing that seemed a bit disappointing was that it almost seems poorly built. My Sightron seems like it is built like a tank and could withstand some abuse. I'm almost afraid to grab the Leupold to carry my AR if needed. Only minor hiccup so far though, I would recommend.

I have a sightron s2 big sky and love it. I just ordered 2 more 4.5-14's off SWFA $379 plus a $100 rebate. $600 scope for $279 is a sweet deal.

IMO pretty hard to beat the Leupold varmint reticle if you're going the holdover BDC route.Fineness of 'hairs' is about perfect. In the last few years I've tried a number of brands ranging(no pun intended)from Burris to Nightforce and have come back to the Leupold.Have 3 now.Only Swarovski comes close in that type reticle.

I use the Nikon coyote special and also a leupold with Var. reticle and like both of them. Figure you dope out and both pretty reliable for minute of coyote.
