Has anyone else tried the new Randy Anderson CatNip call. I had one given to me and I tried it for the first time this past weekend and the sound is awesome but it froze up constantly so now its hanging in a tree out in a pasture. :x

I know there are a few calls that i have had in the past that were sent for a ride the minute they froze up!! There is nothing worse than when you are on stand and the call freezes up! I stick to one type of calls now and that is any open reed :D They dont freeze up and if they for some reason stick a little you just let it sit in your mouth for a second and its ready to go.

lol

I can't remember, its a closed reed call right Daryl?? Nothing worse than a call freezing up, I have thrown many calls out the truck window because of that. Ever since I went to open reeds calls, I have never had that problem again.

you never know until you give it a try fella!! Who knows one day you might find that secret sound  Thanks for the input though cause it is nice to know that it freezes. Need to learn from others mistakes or findings so that i dont do the same thing. I like your method of leaving it hang in the pasture

Ya the sound and volume were great but every time i got to the second or third series it F#@$%&* froze up so it got hung on the small tree I was sitting at and out came the Wiley One Raspy Rabbit. If you want that call Levi I can send you in to that spot. I am sure its still hanging there. Oh and we did get a double on that stand but it was a fox and a coyote. First time I ever had that happen :?
