I don't use shooting stix and that is one of the reasons.

I LIKE deep snow when calling

The real deep snow makes things tough for them. If there is a lot of deer dying due to winterkill it can shut down calling but if the deer aren't tipping over yet i have had some great days when the snow was balls deep and real cold.

Drink more Jack and you can trudge through that snow all day :lol:

to deep and they'll shut down too. So unless you're right on top of them they won't move. A good 6 inches is great.

Get a good wet,heavy 4-5 inches first to flatten the CRP,then add the soft 6. :D
