Prescription Eyeglasses -- Camo Help??

Post by wizbang »

Okay. Enough is enough. I had one sneaking up on my right side yesterday afternoon-- when I turned my head he was gone mach 3. I think my glasses screwed me. I might as well have alarm bells attached to my head when its sunny.

Anyone have any remedies for eyeglasses?

I use a facemask and ballcap but they don't cover my eyes all the time. They don't seem to cut the reflections as much as I'd like. Is there something out there I haven't thought of? Thoughts?

The only thing that i have seen people do when they have glasses is to take a light weight camo fine mesh face mask and put it right over there glasses and eyes. This will cut down the glare, but might hinder some of your visibility to see and shoot. There are always contacts or lasik eye surgery if you can afford it!!!!

Now I don't have glasses except to read... but could you take off your glasses at stand and adjust your binos and scope to the power/focus you need??

Hey-- haven't thought of that. Thanks, Tbush. I'll have to give that a try. I used to get alot of headaches with all the sun and without my glasses on but it was mostly squinting for long distances. Tuning up my optics could help.

Again, Thanks!

back when i wore glasses, i had a no-glare finish on them. that way the sun wouldnt glare off my glasses, so i could see. You could try this, or get prescription sunglasses even.

I prefer the orange lens but the yellow are good also. I prefer a safety glass over regular sunglasses because they last longer in my pickup without getting scratched. I usually don't use them when on stand though just driving around and well out setting equipment ect ect.
