Not chaseing furbears what are you doing?

Post by DPMS Panther Arms »

Well in the off time from the great turneys. that coyote hunter.net puts on in winter what is it you are doing? I my self love to hit the lake in chase of the walleye in central MN. This year has been a banner year for nice fish(2-8 pounds) some over the 8 pound range so far also. Looking forward to hunting season though as I just got back from ND sending rounds down range at some Prairie dogs. Have to keep up the shooting skills also. Lets see some summer activities

Not much other than work and training the dogs for this winter to come.. Going to try and wet a line this week-end for some jumbo sunnies and a few bass .......

Other than protecting livestock the summer means camping with the kids and a lot of golf. Not near the fishing out this way so I have kind of given that up.

Moving snares from pasture to pasture, trying to stay ahead of problems. Good spring and early summer. Death loss due to predation down.

Should have been calling today....spent the day checking equipment. Didn't have time make a single set. Did still manage to pick up a couple but would have been a great day to blow on a call.

Fish for walleyes, golf, and shoot in the summer. When Oct. hits it's coyotes till mid Feb. Although I may have to take up ice fishing and get back into bowhunting due to the coyote (and deer) population in my area rapidly declining, thanks to the ND Game and Fish.
