An Oddity

Day before yesterday I was glassing some deer that were bedded on a south facing slope, about a 1/4 mile from where I was standing. One of them appeared a bit odd, bedded about 15 yards from the others, a slightly different color, and smaller. The deer knew I was there and were obviously not concerned about me, until I started hiking in their direction. Then they got up and walked towards the timber behind them. I brought the binocs up again to get a better look, and noted that the smaller one off to the side was........a coyote! It walked right along side the deer into the timber! How weird is that?
