disobediant dogs

Post by Dcoy »

This Q is for the pound master,T Bush. After three days of shoveling on our road,2 of my dogs threw down their shovels and quit.I knelt and begged but they refused to shovel any more.We still have a few hundred yards to go.Now what? :(

OK Terry,you win.LMAO!!!!
Thanks for the help. :D
Levi, the Springer is 8 now.Its a story for a separate post sometime soon.In fact,Terry will appreciate and probably understand how a trainer knows things. The quick version is I love Springers too.The best pheasant/sharpie dog I've ever had was this guys predecesser. He got cancer and died(damn near killed me too :( )I wanted a replacement asap and went to the kennel/trainer/breeder I wanted. He didn't have a litter age wise I wanted but saw this guy all alone in a kennel.I asked what about him.Guy says "its the line you want but you don't want him,he'll be a pain in the ass all his life and you'll have to be 'on him'constantly".I said how do you know at that age?He smiled and said 'I just do'.Wife and I went outside and talked. She was dead against him,I wanted him,we bought him.
HE WAS RIGHT!!! Been 8 yrs of 'pain in the ass' but man does he hunt.No one would put up with him but me(he barks and growls at everyone/everything) and he drives me up the wall but-I'll say it again, man does he hunt!Pics to follow soon.

Perfect camo for snow geese. :D
Yes,they are awesome dogs!Only problem is he mutanies on me when it gets real cold water.Simply stays in the house and snarls if you try to get him in his wet suit.
I'll quit but man I've got some really cool ones of grouse and particularly honkers.Funny cause honkers are about his size.
