Dumb question...is this mange?

Hello all. I am pretty new to predator hunting, as well as this site. I've shot two fox this year that had what I origionally thought was mange. I wasn't too sure though since I've only seen it on videos (like I said I'm a newbie)and usually it was on the body as well. The first didn't have as much of its tail gone, but had some spots on its legs. The second had nothing else wrong with its pelt except the three or four inches of its tail. Is this mange, did something get ahold of them, rubbing? Any info/ideas would be great.

Also, the site is great. I appreciate the fact that folks don't jump down people's thoats for asking a "newbie" question like on some other sites I used to go to.

The coloration of the skin don't look right to be mange and you should also be seeing it on the legs .. Maybe another fox got ahold of its tail and did some damage..Anyway something odd going on there with that fox..

Good Mitch, although we got some snow and it's going to make getting around a little difficult, not ND difficult, but will spend most of the week trying to find what equipment i can and what will still work etc. Pulling and resetting.

Bet your buried and wearin those snowshoes out, although it looks like the last one may have been east of you I think you had plenty before that.

Good luck at the Classic, we are not going, Jeff had things come up at work so we are staying here.

First Bud Light on me when you get old enough buddy!!!!!!!

Take Care

Ya the snow is wicked  .. We are kind of targetting areas were we dont have to walk as far, and we know 5-10 coyotes are going to hear our calls every stand.. Not as many stands a day but definately quality ones..

Your trapping in this stuff!!? .. I need to come down and run with you for a few days, That would be fun.
