Marty and I track down a monster...

Post by mitchkvernum »

Well boys Marty and I put the smack down on a monster whitey over the weekend, You may ask why do you say "Marty and I"... Well Because this is just as much his deer as it is mine, We had a plan and executed it to perfection.. I would Like to put a longer story up but I dont have much time to include all the details..

We set up IN A HOLE, on a trail we knew these deer were using. right at dark this monster stepped out and I wet my pants a small amount.. At 43 yards I took the shot and the rest is history. Marty, you can include some more details If you would like! I know I missed pretty much everything.. But I need to get going out the door.. Hopefully this is a sign of things to come for our coyote season  ..

Pictures definately dont do him justice.. But he is a 167" gross 159 3/4" net 6x5.. Monster bases and nice mass and tine length all the way through.

Pretty much brings back all my good memories with my best friend Luke.. He did alot of stuff some guys will never dream of doing while he was here.. I think we would both be smiling at each other looking at our whitetail bucks side by side.. Not many deer seen like this in our part of the country, let alone killed.. Ill never forget ya buddy.. Ill keep dedicating them all to you :) .. I know you would do the same for me..

By all means Mitch. The plan is in the works for me to get up there for one of the tourny's. Following you and Marty around for the day would be video gold.
