We used to keep a couple for urine collection back when we raised fox and mink.

On another forum, i have read posts where guys will have 15-20 coyotes in cages that has a steel pan below them to collect the urine. Everyone who chimed in and said that they collected urine, all stated that the collection process is a lot of work. They have a hard time trying to keep the scat and urine seperate from each other.

As far as a coyote farm goes, the closest thing i can think of that would come close to one, is the chasing pens they have for hounds. When a hound bays a coyote, a lot of houndsmen try to place a catch pole on the coyote and bring it home in a kennel so they can bring it up to the pens to train the pups. I do not recall of any coyote farms where they would raise them like a fox or mink and kill them for there pelts. I would assume this would take a lot of space and work to get one that if fully operational!

I would think I would be hard to make money on coyotes in a fur farm operation. The space required, the amount of food and the value of the fur would make it tough to turn a profit.

if you feed a coyote food that is salty they drink lots of water and pee alot ...1 gallon in 1 gallon out  But you do have to feed them well as the pee that comes out will smell like what they have eaten; Have you ever ate a bowl of popcorn and pissed and it smells like popcorn, or drank scmidtees and your piss smells like dead coyotes
