Leupold CDS questions

Has anyone ever ordered a Leupold scope with CDS? If so, do you have any opinions? How does the process work as far as giving the company your exact ballistic info? I'm assuming they would send the scope with a normal turret, and after you sight it in and do some long range careful shooting you send them the ballistic info and then they send your custom turret? Is that correct? Or would I have to have that info before I order the scope? Is the custom turret exactly accurate?

I have a Rem 700 sps varmint 22/250 for coyote and have acheived good groups with Hornady varmint express 55 gr vmax. I understand that changing the load would render my custom turret useless. I use this gun for coyote hunting during daylight as well as at night, so i need a scope for low light situations. Im looking at the VX-4 30mm 3-5x50 CDS, with Firedot duplex reticle.

I use the Kenton BDC dials which is basicly the same thing..
Leupold will need some load info , like cal. bullet weight and vel. and proably a avr. temp for when you'll be hunting the most and also the elavation for your area.. They will then run it through a ballistic comp. like JBM cal. to come up with the bullets drop..
My Kenton dial is good enough for coyotes out to 800 yds. and think the Lupy dial willbe just as close..

I have a number of the custom turrets from leupold and love them....I sent them the scope with the ballistic data and they sent back the scope with the elevation turret installed withe the custom knob for my gun. i have also just sent them ballistics for the scopes that already had the elevation turret on it and they mailed me a knob for about $60.
