Newb Question about Calling

Grew up on a cow calf op. in VA. Shot lots of groundhogs as a kid and a few deer. Joined the Army and became a sniper. 101st Airborne infantry.
It looks like we have plenty of coyotes here in Central VA. Going to start hunting them this winter. Lots of cow calf operations around me. Plenty of wildlife as well. I've done some reading and watched one of Randy A.'s DVDs.
The one thing I have not seen or heard mentioned was using a calf call to try to call coyotes. Growing up around them, I find it super easy to imitate and put emotion with the call. It would seem logical to me, if a coyote thought a calf was in-distress and calling for the cow, that would be an easy meal and he would come looking for it. I know there have been times we have seen a calf get through a fence and wind-up on our place.
Question - Has anyone had success in using a calf call to coyotes? maaaaaaaaa
It would also seem likely a cat caterwaul would work in some areas?

I use lamb distress from time to time. Problem using that sound or a calf in distress is it also calls the cows in...

I have called in a bunch of coyotes with a feral cat call. You can make a great cat call with a mouth diaphragm.
