MID DAY CALLING????

All you new guys who are just getting into coyote hunting, put your posts in this area. Lots of good information that would be helpful before putting up a post asking for the "how to" manual on calling.

MID DAY CALLING????

Post by takbone22 »

SORRY IN ADVANCE FOR THE SILLY QUESTION,BUT DO ANY OF YOU HUNT(CALL) FOR COYOTES AT TIMES OTHER THAN
EARLY MORNING AND EVENING? I PERSONALLY HAVE ONLY HEARD THEM HOWLING IN THE EVENING AND LATE NIGHT,
DO THEY HOWL DURING MID DAY? IF NOT, WILL THEY RESPOND TO A DISTRESS CALL? RABBIT,DEER ETC.?
I AM IN SOUTH CAROLINA. THANKS FOR ANY INFO!

Hi.Yes they howl in midday and yes distress works midday.
Less howling, less active but still do and doable. Can't address your situation there but works here.Better early in year(more young dumber ones)and later in year when sex overrides common sense. The remoter the area the better the success midday as well.Traffic, people, etc=less activity.
