when to howl when not to howl

All you new guys who are just getting into coyote hunting, put your posts in this area. Lots of good information that would be helpful before putting up a post asking for the "how to" manual on calling.

Well, a guy could write a book on this subject. You talk with some guys and they howl on every stand year round. others it really just depends on the time of year. I do not howl much from about Oct thru mid-Feb. mostly distress sounds during this time. I may do some through January but it depends on where I am at and whether or not there is a breeding pair in the area. mid-feb thru Sept. I vocalize on every stand.
