1st Bow Coyote 2010

Shot my first bow coyote this year. I've had 2 other chances but couldn't connect. This one was out mousing in a cut corn field about 250 yards from my treestand. I knew he was an adult dog. I didn't have any calls so I lip squeaked and he started working toward the tree belt I was in. He entered the trees about 30 yards upwind of me. I was thinking he was going to come through the trees but then he appeared along the edge of the trees. I let him walk by and drew my Bowtech General. He looked right at me and I let him have it. Shot him through the heart and he tipped over at 40yds. I was pretty jacked so i was going to get down but I looked over at him one more time and 2 more coyotes walked out of the trees over to him. Both were pups. One pissed on him, I thought that was pretty crazy. The other one just sniffed him. I got out my rangefinder and ranged them at 40 yards on the button. I was thinking easy i'm going to get a double. I drew and released and shot right under the one that pissed on the dead male. No double but an exciting night in the stand.
