Well guys here is the latest and greatest from NAFA. The auction was held yesterday for these goods and it lasted 2 hours :? Althouhg the prices look good you need to look at the percent sold!!!! It seemed that only the top fur moved and thats it. Only a small percentage of coon and coyote were actually sold.

Dcoy theres been a few other forums where everyone on those sites were predicting this was going to happen too. Some people also mentioned that all the fur buyers in there area weren't even buying any fur at all!!!! There are only a select few people who are buying furs and its those that are tanning the hide for the fur industry. I guess the buyers like to see tanned garments because they know exactly what they are getting. The furbuyer takes all the risk when he tans it, of hair slippage and anyhting else that could go wrong.

The problem now is that all that fur that didn't sell is still sitting in the auction for next month! They need to clean it out and start over, Or furbuyers will have there hands tied and not be able to buy any fur if its not going to move

We may have to freeze all your effort and sell it next year, huh? What have some of you heard from Dusty at Downer, MN? Papapete called him yesterday and got an answer. I want to see if the rest of you are hearing the same thing.

Chris and I have been hanging out with Dusty a few times, and its not good, and its not giong to be good for awhile. I wouldn't even recommend bringing in a coyote right now, or maybe even for a couple of years. Good luck with what you got, your not going to be making any house payments for awhile with your fur checks. :x

Disclaimer: Its just one furbuyer opinion and thats all it is, is an opinion. Dusty has been more than fair to Chris and myself, so I trust his opinion 100%! I will even be supporting his business at the classic, I will be wearing he company shirt, come check out!

That's kind of what we heard too from him. I have sold to Dusty twice and I also think he is fair. That's too bad hope to give him some business soon. I have 4 pretty pelts put up perfectly right now.

This is pretty much what we were expecting to happen. Just have to wait out the market and sell when it all turns around again. Hopefully sooner than later. It sure isn't going to stop me from shooting coyotes and putting them up.
