Another Good Day

Post by 22-250AI »

Today Optimax, CooperAI and I got an early start.

First stand as we were getting settled CooperAI spotted a coyote coming over the hill around 600Yds out(PERFECT)

Couple minutes later Optimax sent a 55Gr V-Max @ 3580 FPS home for a good shot on this nice female.
Picture was taken after the last stand....

We made six stands total here are the highlights.
Coyotes were spotted on every stand but one !
We walked in snowshoes to within 250YDS and 100YDS of sleeping coyotes. The wind was blowing but not that hard.

The 100YD Coyote was a female that poped out of a slough right in front of us during the first series. She gave me a good angle and I sent a 50Gr V-Max into her chest @ 3850FPS She was yawning and stretching so I guess coyotes sleep pretty deeply.....

The 250YD coyote came out of a hole we didn't see until I started the first series. (we don't have a picture of that one)

The day started out with light snow and 5 deg. wind out of the SE @ 10 to 15

Last stand wind had almost stopped still flurries and 8 deg.

Another good day!!

If i could hit the damn things standing still @ 285yds we wpuld have the one from the hole

If those damn showshoes were a just a little bit smaller, I could kick my own butt for missing that one :x

All and all we cover new ground, and now have a better idea of that country, look for better results next time.......
Even a broken clock is right twice a day.
