hey...bore snake will work fine. I would skip the sovent and run the snake through after each shot. you are removeing slight imperfections (with each shot). the solvent is for removing build up. which if you run the snake through after each shot for 20-30 shots you will be fine then give it a good scrub. I would do this with out much concern for groups. just get some rounds down range. this is less important (break in) with match barrels as compared to hammered forged factory mass produced barrels. just my 2 cents. I could go into depth about this but that is the jest of what I would do to get things off on the right foot.

Thanks again for all of the help guys. My fiance had some health issues going on last night so I didn't get to shoot the gun yet, but tomorrow evening silverdog and I are going to break it in on a target or two and get it sighted in. Might even learn a bit on how to hand-load if I'm lucky 8)

Thanks Tim. I think silverdog's going to show me some stuff tonight, but if we ever get together it'd be neat to know how you do it too. Maybe there's a different way of doing things that would make it easier in some situations.

Hey shooter let me know when that package shows up. I didn't send it very quickly because it weighed to much.

Still working on getting set up. I borrowed my Dad's old RCBS reloading equip. (which didn't include a powder trickler, .22-250 dies, brass tumbler, funnel or case trimmer) and bought some H380 the other day. Silverdog gave me a powder trickler, dies, funnel and nice counter-top to make my bench out of, now I just need to get the case trimmer and maybe a cheap brass tumbler and I'll be able to start loading. There were still some old CCI primers that my Dad had saved from when he used to reload that I'm going to try using. DustyC sent me 100 Berger 52grn. bullets and some brass that I'll use to reload.

sounds good. keep in mind that case trimming and tumbling is not must with .22-250 brass. very stable, strong brass. I shoot 6mm brass which has relatively thin walls compared to similiar caliber brass like .243.
