My Childhood Pet

Post by EO caller »

Thought you guys would like these old pics. Back when my Dad was trapping he made a trip to Montana and came back with a baby kitten for me. I named him JoJo. He was around for a little over a year then he started Tomcatting around and got himself shot. He killed all the neighbors chickens and a few domestic cats. He was pretty cool though. These pics are from the late eighties, I was around ten years old.

I wasn't able to talk about Jo because it wasn't the most legal thing in the world  but I had a few friends out once in a while and they got a pretty good scare out of him when he would just come strolling into the house and jump up on the couch. We were cutting up deer meat one time and Jo jumped up on the counter and grabbed a front shoulder and ran up a tree with it. They sent me up to get it but I found out real quick that was his front shoulder.

PG you've heard them when there caught in a trap. Its the same thing when your trying to take somthing that they have. We never declawed him either. He would follow me around the ranch while I would be bird hunting and if you shot a pheasant you better get their before him or he would eat it and there was nothing you could do about it.

Thats some pretty neat stuff right there!!! Sounds like it as a fairly loyal pet, until the kitty really wanted something :D
