im reloading my 223 with 50gr hornady vmax rounds for coyotes just wondering if anyone has had any exp. with this load

I have shot 50gr V-Max out of my AR-15 but they are the Ultramax brand that you can buy and they are loaded with the V-Max. I reload all my own shells except the .223 cause they are so cheap to buy here it really doesn't pay for me. Oh and they work great with minimal pelt damage.
I would rather have a slow hit than a fast miss...

I have had pretty good luck with that particular grain weight for shots out to 300yds. I will say that I think that particular bullet is little light in the rear to confidently bring down yotes past the 325yd mark. For shots over that I like a little more weight retention and a higher B.C..
