FHA's March sale

Post by lyonch »

here is a link to how the FHA sale went this past weekend. The coyotes are moving along better, but you need to take into consideration that only 90% of the westerns moved and a mere 60% of the eastern coyotes have been sold. This could drastically inflate the average to look higher than what it really is. I wouldn't be going to your local furbuyer and expecting a $75 average on your coyotes.

That must be a mis=print on the avr. for eastern coyotes..
The other prices seem to be inline with what I got for other types of animals I sold this year...

I think the eastern section is probably correct. they only sold 60% of what was offered. This is telling me that higher end easterns all sold, but the junk was still left over. That should throw the average out of whack. I think the eastern coyotes realistically will average around $25 at an auction house. When you look at nafa's eastern coyote avarage, it was right around $28 per pelt. Put tumbling fees and commission on those numbers and now you are down around a $20-$25 average.
