It was Hot Spring. Steve and Grant are both great guys but Jim couldn't guarantee a job past june. It would have been a wreck if I would have bought a place big enough to support my cows and lost the job after budget cuts. The right situation will come along. Thanks though guys.

Glad to hear it's going well. :D
I finally got things slowed down enough to go do a little denning. My buddy Dave brought me a new dog the other day and she is pretty cool. The coyotes wouldn't nut up and fight and I couldn't ever get them to come in for a shot until I went down to set some equipment around the pile of rocks she had the pups stashed in. I saw her working her way back down a ridge so I snuck back to the truck and got my gun and a call and did a little pup in distress and she came to about 100 yards. I didn't let my dogs make a run at her because of how chicken shit she was acting earlier. I blind set all of the entrances to the rock pile and made half a dozen sets around the area for the male. That was about 4 days ago and I went back the next day and had 4 pups in the blind sets. I know there is 1 pup left and I hope to have it when I go back today. The male still hasn't came back around. I hope it's not another year of chicken coyotes.
The first pic is of my male Cur, Bodi and the female mutt Dave gave me. They are both working well and Bodi goes to a howl and coyotes when he see's them. I have alot of hope for him. He's really showing alot of promise.

The second pic is the rock pile under the brush where they had the pups stashed. She had 5 scarson her tubes.

Nice clean up. I have had a bad time with chicken shit coyotes and the dogs the last three years however this year I have had probably the three best decoy scenrios i have been a part of so far but i think a lot of it has to do with Sunny finally figured out the game and before i was working with less then good dogs.
