Sold some shot coyotes

Post by NickNielsen »

Sold some shot coyotes last night. Sold 17. A bunch for $15, a few for $20, and a few for $25. $5 for a fox, $12 for a huge coon. Considering last years prices it was ok. Still think i'm getting hosed around here. Next year, when I have a new garage, I'm going to put them up. Might as well considering i have the time in the winter. What does NAFA give in their spring sales avg. for a put up coyote? Coon? Fox?

I think you did quite well for carcass prices!! Or were those skun?

NAFA averages vary greatly from year to year! If you want something that will show a true direct relation to what to speculate, follow the strength of the foreign currencies versus the american dollar.

Here is last Feb results. I would expect roughly the same as of now or a touch higher. FYI - the western ND coyotes averaged roughly $75 per pelt last may put up. However that can drop to $25 in a moments notice.

Lyonch,

I think you mean the NW ND coyotes brought $75. Aint to many special coyotes in SW ND but man I love me those NW ND coyotes.

Nick,

Where did you sell at in VC?

Bareback, Sold to Browtine Skulls and Fur., he's a younger kid from Carrington but goes to school at Valley City State.

Chris, They were on the carcass and not too bad i guess. Pays for some gas. Funny how I bitch but I'd still be hunting them if I had to pay to do it.
