222 Remington

Post by kflan22 »

Any 222 pet loads that you'd like to share?

I'm having one of my 223's fitted with a 24" Douglas #4 contour in 222. 12 twist.

I'd like to stick with 40 to 50 grain bullets and would appreciate any suggestions given on bullet or powder selection.

Thanks

KFlan. my pet load for .222 is 26.5 grains of win 748 cci srm primers ,win case.
40 grain bt's or sierra bk's.
the more food you have in your mouth at one time, the better you can taste it!!!

I'm working with H335 and 50 grainers to start out. It's just what I have on hand. So far 25 rds down range. I hope to spend some time shooting over the weekend. If the 50's don't shoot I'll be trying the 40 grain BT's and BL-C2/748 next.

Thanks for the suggestion. There are just too many different options with these 222/223 size cartridges.
