243 for yotes
just ordered a savage model 11 trophy predator hunter in 243, i wanted a round that would buck the wind past the 300yd mark, and decided to go with the 243 i got about 4 boxes of hornady 87gr managed recoil ammo (thats all they had at one of the local stores i shop) so my question is how many of you use this cal and what is a good bullet to use when i start reloading after i get some brass put together

I've had great luck with the 85gr Sierra BTHPS and H4350, definitely not lightning fast but very easy on pelts. Tried the 70gr noslers but they tore up coyotes too bad and weren't the greatest for clean kills either.

I have used the 100 grain BTSP Sierra #1905 for years out of my Winchester .243 and my Oly. .243 WSSM. Velocity is 3050 fps shooting H1000

I think you will like that Savage!!!
This is what my Axis .223 will do with a mixed bag of ammo at 200 yds: (the bigger groups we my poor shooting, not the gun)
