Hello everyone, I am a new member to the sight and thought I would introduce myself. My name is Tyler Haase I live in North Dakota. I am addicted to coyote hunting just like the rest of you. I am fortunate enough to be able to hunt, trap and snare coyotes year round for animal damage control. I enjoy helping landowners out with livestock issues, it is very rewarding when you can save a rancher hundreds of dollars in losses by taking out a few problem animals. You learn a lot about coyote behavior and calling technique when you after them all the time, but the one thing I love about calling is you are never really an expert. When you think you have it all figured out they throw you a curve ball. Every coyote is different and it is fun to figure out what is going to trigger them. There is nothing better then watching a pair of coyotes comming in hot across a snow covered pasture. I am always looking to learn new things, and share experiences with people who enjoy coyotes as much as me. This looks like a great site for doing that so I look forward to talking with you all.

Hi everbody, I'm also a new member. I grew up on a ranch in eastern oregon just 25 miles from the columbia river. I just started calling last January and I'm totally hooked. I brought in around 30 and killed 18. Theres nothing like it and I cant wait till the weather cools off and they start growing some hair. My friends and family are sick of me talking about it so I guess you guys have to take over.

Awesome pictures!!! That first one of that cat looks almost unreal. It looks like a painting  So it looks like you use longspring traps? What are your thoughts about them?

When I was in Arizona I used longsprings exclusively. Not by choice though that is what I was given for work. They are alright a lot of coyotes have been caught in Victors, but I prefer using Sterling coilsprings for coyotes.
I should try blocking out the trap on the cat and blow up a picture that I could hang on my wall! I miss catching bobcats, none of them in this part of the state.
