Chris; All you need is the inserts and the holder that clamps onto the dial-calipers. The tool shown above was made by Stoney point products at one time here in Mn... The owner sold out to Horandy or still makes them for Hornady, not sure.. You should also get the bullet seating depth checking tool along with a cartridge case that you intend to load for.. They both go hand in hand with each other...

Re: Ogive measuring
I beleive this is what he is talking about Chris it kinda goes hand in hand with the comparator.

Thanks Daryl!! I do have one of those already They are a slick tool!! I did buy the comparator last night for $30 at scheels (the same kit devildog recommended ). I also purchased a case prep machine from RCBS to make that process go faster too. There are so many tools a guy can purchase for reloading it's crazy!!!!

Re: Ogive measuring
Hey chris, if you want to do this step right, take a "fire formed" round and send it to Hornaday. They will drill and thread that round for you to fit on your O.A.L gauge, then you can get a TRUE measurment of your Ogive.... I was surprised how much differnece there was from the factory cases that are threaded and MY case that I sent in.... If I remember it was like 6.00 bucks just a little more that a mock case but well worth it!!!

Re: Ogive measuring
I can see the logic behind that one Opti!! Thanks for the tip! I have several cases laying around, so i might try to thread one myself and see how it goes I have done it in the past, but it's been a while. Oh well if i a wreck a few pieces of Lapua brass, it's only money right

Re: Ogive measuring
I think they use an off the wall thread pattern, at least not a common one. at least that is what somebody told me, guess they tried it and it didn't work..... Its only six bucks you tight ass, hell thats two beers you don't have to buy levi next time......
