Does anyone use one of these for coyotes on a regular basis. I am trying to work up a load for my wifes that won't be brutal on pelts. I am working on loads using Hornady 75gr HP.

All i know about that caliber is that a boss that levi and i had when we worked at the college used that caliber for deer hunting and did nothing but brag about it. He absolutley loved that gun and caliber.

I know two guys that have them and love them. One has a ackley improved one and claims its the greatest caliber ever but its all about preference. The gun shoots very well but we will have to see what I can do about coyote loads.

It shouldn't be all that difficult I have worked up loads for a .25-06 that don't exit just don't have any experiance with the Roberts so just thought I would see if anyone on here has one or found a good load. :D

I had good luck years ago with the Hornady 75 gr. bullet and Norma MRP (now MRP II, I believe) in my 2506. Sorry, I don't have the powder quantity handy, but check out MRP II starting loads and work up (go to a good reloading manual or Norma's site prior to purchasing powder.)

Other powders like IMR 4064 and IMR 4350 may also be good choices for the 'Bob' w/ the 75 grainer.

I did work up a load with Hornady 75gr HP and slowed them up a bit and they worked great well unless you hit a bone
