Didn't some of you guys hunt this tournament last year? If so how was it. Would you go again?

NO, I would not hunt this tournament again

Its a run and gun hunt! I hope G&F are watching this one closely!

I hope this tourny isn't as bad as you say it is. I think i'm going to give it a try. We do have a couple of sections of land that havn't been coyote this year, so hopefully there not educated to the calls yet. How many yotes won last year?

I don't remember how many coyotes won, I want to say 8 or 9! Good luck, its going to be a mess!

If it is as bad as Levi said last year I would go hunt and then keep the fur for myself. I'm not donating good fur to a tournament that allows cheating or doesn't have rules.

We let them know what we thought last year, so hopefully things change! I think a call to the local G&F wouldn't hurt either, just to keep an eye on it. Good luck, keep it honest and hopefully your rewarded! let us know

Hunted the Cogswell tournament last year and most of the coyotes were run and gun as stated. Shot three. All were called. Callers are the exception in this tournament! Stirum(15 miles north) had a hunt the following week with several individuals being ticketed. Maybe that will cool down the run and gun guys this year? Not planning on hunting this one without some new rules.

I hunted this one last year, got fifth place with 4 yotes and we didn't "run and gun" any of them. You people that are declaring this a "run and gun" are way off base. The Stirum hunt had over a dozen tickets and losses of equipment. Yet its funny i saw the game warden three times that day and there were no tickets given.

They pay prizes by combined weight of yotes not head count.

Every tournament goes by the same set of rules. I am not trying to start an argument, I am just saying we witnessed people chasing coyotes with vehicles, we saw teams with 4-wheelers in the back of there pickups! I saw what I saw, and my own opinion is that its a run and gun tournament!

Congrats on calling in 4 coyotes and shooting them, I really respect that!
