"how to" Skinning a raccoon by hand

Post by lyonch »

I did this video first, but the guy recording turned the camera sideways when recording, so you had to turn your head to watch it. I finally got it all spliced together and rotated at the right spot, so it is viewable now. There is even a tip in here to help some of you guys skinning coyotes by hand

Now I have watched 2 videos on how to skin a coon 8) and both very good, We also used to cut/chop off the front legs in the prep work, just saves the skinner a step

Bucks that was a coon that had been frozen and thawed out.

Tbush - next time i get a coon in the shed, i am going to try and lop the legs off kind of short and just keep hitting the button on the hoist and see if it will pull the legs for me, tear the hide, and/or rip the carcass in two. If it works, it could save a lot of time in the long run :D
