Coyote Bounty in MN

Post by lyonch »

Here is a link to something that i never knew existed. I really wish they would take notes from the areas that have already proven they dont work. Although this bill just gives the Counties and or townships the approval to place a bounty on them, i am sure some of them will.

I highly doubt the bounty will actually come about. Everything that i have heard and read about the counties and townships seems like they are really hurting for money the way it is. I was also told that denning in MN is illegal :? I am going to do some checking on that because a coyote in MN is considered a non game specie and don't have a season placed on them (they are year around). I will let people know what i come up with.

Did'nt know we had that many sheep producers where a coyotes would be a problem for them. LOL
Denning is illegal but if they did allow that good luck with that.. Most dens around here are in or close to tilled fields, not sure if any farmers are going to let a hunter run around in there planted fields and good luck trying to see a coyote let alone working them with a dog..
The bounty wouldbe nice to have to pay for all those mangey coyotes we get though...
