Yeah, learned a valuable lesson. Even in big wide open country, pack your shotgun. You never know what will happen. Not having it on stand cost us 2nd place. Chris the rules are pretty simple, all dogs are core checked at weigh in, any coyote wiithout a visible gun shot is skinned right away, no airplanes, snowmobiles, dogs all ties are broke by check in times. Basically the guy that puts the hunt on says that the hunt is to see who can kill the most coyotes in the least amount of time. I'll have to check on the other rules. It's a really fun hunt, and just kind of laid back atmosphere. Cheating is very rare. One team tried a little stunt on a new judge this year and they got the phone call yesterday to never retun to the hunt. Rory knows who and what I'm talking about.

Its really hard to look in the back of the truck and see your rifle, shotgun, foxpro laying back there. A guy usually leaves the shotgun behind. Even though how much it sucks, a guy should just burn it in his brain to grab the damn thing!!!

DuctyC that is really good to hear that the tournament is ran that well. It's also great to hear that cheater got caught and are to never return. If you know who they are, post there names because i can gurantee you that before you know it they wont be allowed in any tournaments. If you dont want to post it, please pm them to jamie or myself so that we can make sure they dont show up to a coyotehunter.net tournament or if they do to really examine them and there dogs.
