UMAR 22-250
Just got Olympic arms UMAR 22-250 and it immediately had a few issues. With 5 rounds in a magazine it will leave a half inch of the round un chambered. With 4 rounds a quarter inch un chambered. If I have only 3 rounds in the magazine it will finally fully chamber. It seems to me that the spring tension is too high. Any other thoughts? Also, when the rifle ejects a shell it will bend back the rim of the cartridge and makes it look to me as though it will further be unusable for reloading. All of this was happened upon during barrel break in. I sent it back to the dealer who will no longer return my calls. I'm beginning to wonder if there is a reason that Olympic is the only company that makes an msr chambered in 22-250.

Are these reloads? Are you using a small base die.....AR full length die? What is your over all catridge length? What bullet profile and wt. are you trging to chamber?

Re: UMAR 22-250 problems
Thus far I've only used factory loads. Winchester 45 gr. JHP and Winchester 55 gr. soft points. 2 different bullets same results. I'm thinking its a factory defect with the extractor.

Re: UMAR 22-250
Got my rifle back from Olympic Arms. Had a chance to speak with a customer service rep and he was more than helpful. Talked me through what he did and answered every question I had. The guys there seem to be very knowledgable and incredibly easy to deal with. I'm hoping this rifle won't be my last purchase through them as mine is performing just as it should now. I would recommend this or any rifle from Olympic, if you have any problems they will take care of you.
