Used Call
Does anyone have a used electronic call they are willing to sell? I am looking for something along the lines of FoxPro FX3.

I'm new to serious calling.Always dabbled in it but with age the snow shoeing and 10 mile days are getting tougher so more calling definitely on my agenda.
I've had success with cheap distress calls(old Circes and Lohmans)but not much experience with coyote hand calls.Thinking of the song dog.Comments welcome???
On the other hand,I've tried a few electronics.Had decent luck with Foxpro,an old Johnny Stewart also, but then I bought a used Wildlife Tech unit, sent it in for a little work(even that was spendy), but have to say its very good.Bulky with the big speaker but LOUD.Works even with pretty good winds.
Man I'd like to get their more compact new model but no way I'm spending $800!
Electronics for me just plain work cause with the remote,I can station the call where its needed.A hassle but til i learn(practice)more about coyote sounds and hand helds, I'll keep hauling it around.Anyway, for an old man hauling that load around helps keep one in shape for bow hunting elk.

Re: Electronic Calls
Does anyone have any experience with the new FoxPro Scorpion?
My wife bought me one, but I haven't had the time to try 'er out yet...
The main reason I'm thinking the wireless electronic caller with a remote is for me: I have diminished lung capacity, related to my disability, so I can't huff & puff as long as y'all. I have some hand calls, but will probably use them mainly for closing the deal.
Another reason I think the Scorpion was the one for me is, it's so compact. I usually have a hunting partner with me, but not always. When I do, he/she usually takes on the role of "mule", carrying most of my gear for me. The fact that it's compact & wireless, I can just stuff it into my backpack.
I'll be posting a review of my own, ASAP. My partner & I are planning on hunting real soon, and you can bet the Scorpion is coming along...

Re: Electronic Calls
I don't use any fox pro products but i do use the new style WT and the B.C.B. Both are easey to carry around in the field and work very well. I'm sure from what i heard the fox-pro works just as good...
I've been out calling on some windy days where the sound of a handcall would'nt carry very far but the electric callers sound would carry a mile or better..
I thought the 800.00 was abit too much also for an electric caller but latter found that its worth every penny..

Re: Electronic Calls
I know Randy Anderson uses it in his 5th video. He also uses it in the most recent Verminators movie. I have never used it though.

How do you like that PowerDog? I have a Johnny Stewart PM-4 and they seem competitively priced out.

Re: Electronic Calls
I know there are a million different elctronic calls and devices out there but when i heard the power dog in the video i wasn't thoroughly impressed with the sound quality. In my personal opinion i would stick with a fox pro. The sounds that fox pro can provide to you are amazing. Dont forget either that if you have a fox pro that there are a couple of sounds for sale in the online store that jamie has put together that are unbelieveable. If your going to ask will it call a coyote in yeah im sure it will but it wont meet the quality or versatlilty of a foxpro. Just my 2 cents.
