the Feral Cat Forum. i love it. most don't know how destuctive cats are to the ecosystem. in college my biology professor showed us studies done on the subject and found domestcated feral cats were about the worst thing on young game birds. so lets get a thread going and it would be fun to skin and stretch them and ship them to the big auction

by the way, i've lipped squeked in MANY cats while bowhunting. it's fun to watch them stalk you.

I just took care of a big male feral cat in my yard yesterday. I was BSing with a friend and as soon i got off the phone i looked out the window and there that big kitty was stalking along the field line. So the old trapping .22 came out he received the old lead pill

I have several stories of buddies who go out at night and thats all they do is shoot feral cats

It is fun and great practice

I caught one in a trap for coon, pocket set in the bank. I let him go and he swam out into the water to go after the dog. Meanest cat I have ever seen.

LMFAO
I caught one in a trap last season. Declawed, and all he wanted was for me to pet it and let it out.

I ended up catching 5 ditch tigers last year trapping. 4 of them came from one farm

They were all caught in a 220 so there was no releasing that could be done

Someone needs to help out the bird population

too many people think owning a cat is leaving food on the doorstep and let them come and go as they please. I have Duke #1 1/2 set in my yard for some cats that are messing with my dogs and garbage. A feral is cat is VERY VERY destructive in an ecosystem if unchecked they can really upset a balance with the young game birds and song birds.

Amen to that, rule of thumb if they are 1/2 mile or more from a place they are not looking for a bowl of food, and they need to be managed. Cats are the most effecient killers out there, and they do major damage to all bird populations. It is also pretty obvious if it is feral or somebody's pet, take advantage when the opportunity presents itself.
