I been watching this and I kinda have to agree with Prairie ghost. I am pretty sure that I would have just point blank told the guy to stop being an A$$hole or stopped hunting with him.

I know a guy like that and if you want to get even or shut him up, heres a little trick for you. Because he is a glory hound and wants the attention, give it to him. Wait until you are standing in line at a gas station or in front of someone he respects and ask him(the mouthy buddy) the following question or one like it and look dang serious when you do it.

"Pardon me sir but I seen your picture in the paper, what ever happend to those child molestation charges they had on you?" or "Did you end up getting off on those charges of beating your wife?" and say it LOUD. He cant say ANYTHING that will get him off the hook. Watch the cashiers face about the time you say this.

If I ever found out that anyone had turned my turrets, I am pretty sure all 250lbs of me would be about ready to fight.

Just my .02

Not all man, no offense taken what so ever and I did not intend to ruffle yours either. My apologies if it came out like that. :)

I have a buddy like the fella you mention and I have actually thought about "adjusting his zero" for him too. I guess what I mean is I would be fightin mad if somebody monkeyed with my scope, but I am also(I hope) not the kind of guy who deserves to have his scope monkeyed with either.

Anyway, maybe we can pair my buddy with yours and really watch the sparks fly.

Again, my apologies and I still think you should ask him one of my above questions in public. Hows he gonna explain to the gas station cashier that he is not a convicted child molester with out looking awful stupid? :D

just wondering if someone is that cocky & boastful. what is so good about him as a friend that you feel you need to hunt with him. please don't give me the story of well i don't think i could find anyone else to hunt with, because isn't that why abused women won't leave their present relationships. i think i would rather hunt by myself ( & i have for that fact) than to put up with some swollen head that is to big to fit in my full size pickup. if he is that full of himself it will only get worse down the road. drop him like a bad habit, & start looking for another hunting partner, i would not care who it is or what they would have to offer. i'm all for over looking faults in people & i am sure that the ones i hunt with could tell you that i have them also, & they do over look mine as i do theirs. but there is a line that can not be crossed & let him know. you get do it in a respectful way. :!:

Lyonch,

I am not sure I understand your last post. Doesnt everybody kinda dislike "that guy"? You know, the guy that makes himself look good at your expense.

Nobody likes that type of guy, but its water over the damn. Who anyone hangs out with is there own buisness. Yes i thought it was pretty comical what he did to the guy  theres no reason to take a personal defense over something like that. You can diagree with what BnB did and or you can disagree with the guy he hung out with, but there's no need to say i this and i that about the guy. Remember that every post is an opinion and should never be thought of as a personal insult unless it is specifically targeting you.

Oh, ok.

Btw, I should have been more clear and said, I dont disagree with what BNB did as it sounds like the guy had it coming. I am just saying that if your a normal decent guy, turning a guys turrets is hitting WAY below the belt IMHO. Imagine if BNBs "buddy" was caught turning knobs on BNBs scope and thats why he wasnt killing as much!!!!!

Anyway, Prairie Ghosts suggestion of the appropriate response won quite a bit of praise here and I still agree with his take on this. Apparently, PG regards this as quite a sin and I agree with him on everything but the tea-baggin guys part.(going for the funny...no offense PG). :D

It is my opinion that if I found out someone was spinning my turrets, unless I did something to deserve it(if I did I have it coming), it would be prudent of them to steer clear of me for a while. Simply my opinion. Not everyone would handle it this way and to each, his own.

here's another one. a good friend of mine saves up and bought a bolt action 12 guage slug gun, savage with fully rifled barrel . mates it with a 2x7 leoupold... he bought 4 different brands of sabot style slugs to see which shoot best. he's pretty excited to sight this thing in. he puts a harris bipod on it (the short one) and we go out to his gun range. he already has a big 4ftx4ft target up so we back off about 60-70 yards and comince to sight it in. i ask him what brand he wants to try first, he says doent matter.  he doest know it but i had a pocket full of low based #8s.  he see's me load the clip which i say are brand??? . he gets down sets the bipot puts in his ear muffs, and KA-POW, the leaves in front of him part like the red sea but he does't see that 8) . he asked me where he hit ind i say i don't even think you hit the target. he's a bit peturbed cuz it was supposed to be bore sighted at the store.. :x :x he tries again and again with the same results thinking he's wasting expensive ammo (which he's not) anyway this went on for 6-8 shots when i finnaly busted a nut laughing, when he caught on to what was going on he tackles me and pummels me on the ground while we're laughing like a couple of little kids  p.s, i'm running outta hunting buddies, anybody lonley :D :D
