Redfox did you try a magnum primer?? I think Daryl posted earlier that uses magnum primers and that might make a difference

No. The gun was new and the grease on the firing pin stiffened up. The shells didn't dent enough to fire. I think by working the pin a few times it went off. When I got home I took it apart and degreased it and put some better oil on it. My friend had it happen to his also. I usually test the loads in the temp I am hunting in and they worked fine and chronographed close to the speeds listed. I have seen some loads get hot in the summer if I shoot them then.

after degreasing remington makes a dry lubricant in a spray can that works very well for this sort of thing.
