Bucks, I thought you said it was a .223?! Aren't the Stevens' triggers pretty rough?

Nice work bucks. Shooter, you can always get a trigger lightened up a little. I will send your package today, so it should be there in a few days.

With a little time and a hone, the Stevens trigger really comes around. I got mine down to a nice, crisp 2.5lbs.

Hey Bucks you made that stevens look pretty sharp.

I have a friend that has a stevens 22-250 and he is really pleased with it. They are a whole lot of gun for the price thats for sure. Can you pick up any more for that price or was that a one time deal.

i was trying to get 1shooter a gun but all they had was .223 and 243. he was set on a 22-250 and there were none available. this was kind of a fluke thing. soon as Denise held it she said she really liked the way it felt so ....... her gun has been jambing latley and cost her a coyote last sat. so i guess this is her new gun. for the $, i really like how well balanced it is. i've talked to 1 shooter on the phone and think he's onto a couple of deal himself.

You're dang right man, we've still got to do that sometime. How'd the Balta tourney go Daryl? How does everyone else here break in a new barrel? I've heard shoot it once, clean barrel with patches until the patches come out clean, shoot it again, clean it again until patches come out clean, etc. etc. and I've also heard shoot it 3-5 times, cleaning after each group of 3-5 shots until the patches come out clean. Could a guy just use a bore snake instead of patches and what do you other guys do to break in a barrel?
