With the cold weather we are having here -14 and getting colder should kill some of those mangy ones off

-43 yesterday with the windchill and this morning was -23 air temp when i went out to start the vehicles. Doesn't appear to be warming up any either.
I would rather have a slow hit than a fast miss...

We had the same temps Daryl, for the past two days now, awfully hard on equipment!! :?

why does the coyote look transparant in the picture, you can see through the legs, or thats the way it looks in the picture

he was so thin i think i coul've damn near seen through him. i think he was blind to if i remember right.. he's even uglier than my dog maxwell.(oops) i meen the wifes dog :oops: :oops: :?

seems as though mange is finally about over in my area. out or 39 coyotes only 1 was in tough shape and i'm not sure it was mange?? just ugly short hair. no skin sores.out of about 30 fox only 1 bad one and he did have it bad. shot him in march and can't believe he survived this cold winter in the shape he was in, only 1/2 furred up. the rest just skin. the coyotes up where i bear hunt still look tough but they to are getting better. how about the rest of you in the areas you hunt :?:

went up to bear camp early this am. shot 1 yoy coyote by ada mn. 1 yoy by twin valley. both had mange,1 really bad. both were walking in the ditches of major hiways middle of the day. took them both with .22lr. shoulda had the camera for pic's. all the fox pups so far look good though
